At Hometown Hearing Center, community is everything to us. Our name reflects more than geography. It speaks to our mission: to serve, support, and strengthen the lives of the people who call this area home. For us, this community is personal.
Dr. Kennedy Recker, our audiologist, grew up in Ottawa and recently returned with her husband to settle back into the place she’s always loved. After earning her doctorate in audiology from the University of Cincinnati and completing clinical placements across Ohio, Dr. Recker knew there was no better place to put her passion to work than right here. She understands firsthand how hearing loss can isolate individuals from loved ones, and she’s driven to help restore those connections- because connection is what community is all about.
Jill Askins, our hearing instrument specialist, shares that same heart for service. With over 17 years of experience in hearing care, Jill has made it her life’s work to walk alongside patients through every step of their hearing journey. She lives in nearby Glandorf with her husband and three sons, and when she’s not helping patients, you’ll find her cheering on her boys at sporting events or enjoying time on the water with her family.
