If you’re experiencing difficulty hearing conversations, turning up the TV volume, or struggling in noisy environments, it may be time for a hearing evaluation. At Hometown Hearing Center, we’re here to make the process easy, comfortable, and informative.

Your visit starts with a quick conversation about your hearing concerns, medical history, and daily lifestyle. We’ll ask about when you noticed changes in your hearing, if you experience ringing in your ears, and any situations where hearing is especially difficult.

Next, we examine your ears using an otoscope to check for any blockages, such as earwax, or signs of infection that might be affecting your hearing. This helps us rule out simple causes of hearing issues before moving on to testing.

The hearing evaluation itself takes place in a quiet room. You’ll wear headphones and listen to a series of tones and spoken words. These tests measure how well you hear different pitches and volumes, and how clearly you understand speech. It’s painless, non-invasive, and only takes a few minutes.

Once the testing is complete, we’ll review your results with you and explain what they mean. If hearing loss is detected, we’ll recommend solutions that fit your lifestyle, which may include hearing aids or hearing protection.

Getting a hearing evaluation is an important step in taking care of your overall health. Whether you’ve noticed hearing changes or just want a baseline check, we’re here to help you hear clearly and confidently.
